How to install Plugin?
Plugin cannot work without the help of dll's.
So first download the dll files. Adobe's Photoshop Plugins work in Psp as long as you have dll files.
Click on the below .zip files to download -- save this file in your hard drive and extract it in windows/winnt's system or system 32 folder.

Winnt - Unzip both dll files into your c:\winnt\system32 folder
Windows 98 - unzip into your C:\Windows\System folder
Windows ME - unzip the Plugin.dll into your C:\Windows folder AND into your plugins folder. Unzip the Msvcrt10.dll into your C:\Windows\System folder. Windows 2000 - unzip into your C:\WINNT\System32 folder Windows XP - unzip into your C:\Windows\System32 folder

You can extract this file directly
(without saving) too. For shortcut method please click this Note.

Note: If you do not know how to save file click here for details. Download dll files here.
1. Msvcrt10.dll
2. Plugin.dll

Note: 1.dll file should be kept in winnt or windows system/system32 folder
2. Some filter like Greg's filter and Andrew's filter needed to be converted. If file is in fll formate you need to convert it in 8bf formate.

How to extract dll file?
Now in the window's explorer find the downloaded files were you've stored it.
For this right click on Start menu (bottom left). Now click on Explore and you'll find that the explorer will open up.

Double click on plugin.zip to unzip it.
(Make sure that your system has winzip software).
This window will open up.

Note:
Here is the shortcut method to extract files.
You can extract the filters directly without saving it.

When you click on any file (ex. plugin.dll) to download this dialog box will open up.
Instead of clicking on save click on Open a box will pop open. Now repeat the process from
(pic 2) to extract the file in desired folder.

Now restart your Computer and you are ready to play around with plugins.

How to install New filter:
To install the new filters, (unzip with Winzip software) and save it in plugin folder i.e. copy them to your plug-in directory, probably something like:
C:\program files\Jasc software inc\paint shop pro 7\plugins

Note: All the Filter files should go in plugins folder.

My Filter is not working why?
If your Plugin/filter is not working make sure that your settings are correct:
Go to File Menu -- Preferances -- File locations -- Plug-ins, settings should be like this. Click ok.

(pic 6)

How do I know that my filter is successfully installed?
If psp7 is already open close it and restart again.
Look in the paintShop pro whether your filter is installed. Open the new image with default settings. (without it, paintshop will not show whether your system has plugins or not.). Now click on the Menu bar Effects look at the last item of menu, here it shows User Defined. It means you don't have filter in your system. Now let us look another pic to find out.

(pic 7)

Look at the pic (pic 8). In Effects menu you can see plug-in filters 1. It means your system has filter. It shows that you have successfully installed Plug-in filters.

How to use filters with psp?
Follow these settings for pool shadow. The same way you can work with other filters too.
File - Preferances - File Location.
