For this tutorial you'll need Jasc's psp 7 or Jasc.com (download trial version)
Download Ephel tower pic, gold pattern and red gradient here
Note: I've zipped it for your ease you can unzip it and place it in appropriate folders. Place Ephel tower and gold pattern .jpg files in any folder. Place gradient redr.jdg file in paint shop pro 7's gradient folder i.e. (c:\program files\Jasc software inc\paint shop pro 7\gradients).

I assume that you have a working knowledge of psp. If not please refer the basic tutorials as indicated in this tut.

Now open the psp 7 software.
1. Open the Ephel tower pic and gold pattern which you've downloaded.
2. Open new image with width 300 height-400, transparent. File - New.
Note: If you are a beginner please see tutorial for How to open new file?
3. Now open your gold pattern. Select gold pattern from forground pattern box and flood fill inside the new image with the help of flood fill tool .

Now add a new layer. Place your mouse on Layer palette right click on layer 1 now click on New Raster Layer now click OK. It would be layer 2. You can name it as red if you wish. If you are a beginner please refer How to Layers tutorial .
Now look for red gradient which you've downloaded in your gradient folder.



Setting should be like this. Angle - 30 click OK.


Flood fill with this gradient in your image in layer 2.
Now it's time to make a mask. Make sure that your ephel tower pic is open. If not open the pic from your hard drive.
Now click on Masks menu -New -From Image.



Now a dialog box will pop open. Click on the arrow to select Ephel tower.jpg now click OK.

Now your image should look like this.
